ESD Prototype Design Contest [Top Coder]

Project Overview
The goal of this competition is to build prototype pages for the new ESD Web Application. For this competition, you will take the existing design and carry it into the new screens you are building. Your design and layout must match the “look and feel” of the storyboards provided and your HTML and CSS must be implemented according to the directory structure and filename system listed in the Requirements. Usability should be your biggest concern.

Employee Search card (ESD) is a web-based application to help TopCoder employees easily search and find their co-workers and determine which projects the co-workers are working on or have been involved with. The result of the search in the ESD will be shown via an “Employee Card”.

You will submit your HTML, CSS and graphic files in a single ZIP file. All of your graphics must be placed in their own directory/folder.

Entries must be your original work, and must not infringe on the copyright or licenses of others. Stock art, clip art, templates and other design elements from other sources are prohibited unless specifically permitted in the Specification Document.

Payment
Selection of Winner:
After the submission phase ends, all entries will be screened against the Required Elements listed above. All passing submissions are then sent into Online Review, where they will receive scores. Prizes will be distributed to the highest scoring submitters as outlined in the Prizes section below. In addition to the winners chosen based on scores, the Client will choose a winner.

Prize Structure:
The contest will award cash prizes totaling $3,500.00 to up to three (3) competitors. Any and all applicable taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prizewinner(s).

Final Fixes Phase:
The Client may require the winner to enter into a Final Fixes Phase after the contest has ended. This phase will require the winner to make final changes (specific to the Spec Doc) to the final deliverables before payment can be released.

Final Deliverables From Winner:
The payment will be distributed in one full installment once the final version of the winning submission has been received by TopCoder Studio. Final deliverables include one (1) zip file containing the HTML files, CSS file, and web-ready graphics. The entire submission must follow the directory structure listed in the Requirements.

Additionally, all original graphic files used in the creation of the prototype from Adobe Photoshop, GIMP, Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape must be provided in the zip file in a folder named “orginal graphics.” Fonts must be embedded or in outlined format in the design, or you may submit fonts that you have permission to release.

Eligibility

You must be a TopCoder Studio member, at least 18 years of age, meeting all of the membership requirements. In addition, you must fit into one of the following categories.

If you reside in the United States, you must be either:

• A US Citizen
• A Lawful Permanent Resident of the US
• A temporary resident, asylee, refugee of the U.S., or have a lawfully issued work authorization card permitting unrestricted employment in the U.S.

If you do not reside in the United States:

• You must be authorized to perform services as an independent contractor. (Note: In most cases you will not need to do anything to become authorized)
